The Roberts County State's Attorney's Office is inviting applicants for the full-time position of Deputy State's Attorney.  The position will be responsible for the prosecution of adult misdemeanor and juvenile cases occurring in Roberts County, South Dakota, as well as assisting with adult felony matters.  Duties include charging determinations, bond arguments, preliminary and grand jury hearings, drafting and arguing motions, court/jury trials, witness preparation, and briefing the court on relevant case law.

Applicants must possess a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice in South Dakota or be willing and qualified to sit for the South Dakota bar examination in July 2022, February 2023, or July 2023.
