Description

Presenter Lea Wroblewski will provide an overview of common consumer issues faced by low-income households. We hope attendees will walk away with a greater understanding of the impact of debt collection on communities, advocacy ideas, and ways to volunteer legal expertise.


Lea is the Executive Director of East River Legal Services. Lea is a 1997 graduate of Creighton Law School. Lea worked for Legal Aid of Nebraska for twenty-five years where she specialized in consumer law represented low-income consumers in many forums over the years including state court bank garnishment proceedings, Chapter 7 bankruptcies, and federal negotiated rule making. Her favorite creditors are the US Department of Education and the IRS.
