In this presentation you will: -Understand the Polyvagal Theory and how it applies to you personally and professionally, how it directly relates to you clients, and how it influences the process and outcome of your cases -Understand the critical importance of “safety” for humans and how to evaluate your clients’ states of safety or threat -Understand the unique dynamics in family court cases from the lens of the nervous system and trauma -Be able to recognize your own and others Autonomic Nervous System states and how to provide “coregulation” to increase their experience of safety and improve outcomes
