Join Professor Gregory Huckabee as he provides details on the history, development, and current use of the Servicemember Civil Relief Act. 

SCRA is legislation enacted to benefit current and former military members and their dependents in civil matters relating to their military service. It can involve a wide range of practice areas – domestic relations, debtor/creditor, landlord/tenant, employment law, and a range of other civil practice areas.

The Vet Committee has prepared a SCRA Bench Book for use by the South Dakota judiciary. Practitioners should look into the applicability of SCRA when representing any current or former servicemember, family, or dependent. The webinar will be conducted attorneys with extensive miliary experience concerning the authorship and applicability of SCRA in litigation.
