Associate Attorney – Criminal Defense

This position will focus primarily on criminal defense, with opportunities for work in other litigation-based areas of practice.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in criminal defense matters in state and federal court.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare for hearings and trials.
• Manage client communications and case strategy under the supervision of senior attorneys.
• Work closely with colleagues and staff to provide high-quality, results-driven representation.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in South Dakota.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently and effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Prior experience in criminal defense or civil litigation preferred.
