The Opportunity

This is a remarkable opportunity for an attorney with 1–4 years of experience who is interested in building a long-term career in estate planning. You'll work closely with experienced attorneys, receive hands-on mentoring, and develop advanced planning skills while serving individuals, families, business owners, and agricultural clients.

Attorneys who consistently meet established performance and revenue goals can expect to be considered for partnership within 3–5 years.

What You'll Do

•    Meet with individuals, families, business owners, and farmers to design customized estate plans.

•    Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, business succession plans, and related estate planning documents.

•    Collaborate with senior attorneys on advanced estate, tax, and business planning strategies.

•    Build trusted relationships with clients and professional referral partners.

•    Develop and cultivate your own book of business by building relationships with clients and professional referral partners. This role offers substantial long-term earning potential and a clear path to partnership as you grow your practice.

Qualifications

•    J.D. from an accredited law school.

•    Licensed (or eligible for admission) to practice law in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota.

•    1–4 years of legal experience (estate planning experience is preferred but not required).

•    Educational background or professional experience in accounting, taxation, finance, business, or a related field strongly preferred.

•    Excellent analytical, drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills.

•    Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational abilities.

•    A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

•    A desire to build a long-term career with the goal of becoming a partner.
