ORDER DECLARING JUDICIAL EMERGENCY

Having been advised of a large-scale technical issue impacting the State of South Dakota network beginning August 19, 2025, and the resulting impact that continues to Unified Judicial System platforms including ePayments, eCourts and File and Serve, the Supreme Court declares the existence of a judicial emergency pursuant to SDCL 16-3-11 through 15.

It is further ordered that deadlines, time schedules, due dates and filing requirements imposed by applicable statutes, rules and court orders are suspended until further order of this Court.

This order is effective immediately and is retroactive to August 19, 2025.
